Tobias Sutantio is the founder and managing director of NORDVISORY, an independent M&A advisory firm based in Hamburg, Germany. He advises owners of Mittelstand companies on company sales, succession and valuation, and he runs every mandate personally, from the first confidential conversation through closing.
He started in M&A in 2016 at Angermann M&A International, now Oaklins Germany, an established mid-market M&A house. In 2018 he joined Bauer Media Group's corporate M&A team, working on acquisitions and divestments from the buyer's side of the table. That dual perspective shapes how he advises today: he knows first-hand how professional acquirers screen a target and negotiate a price, and he puts that knowledge to work for sellers. Across his career he has advised on more than 20 M&A transactions.
He founded NORDVISORY in October 2020 on a simple conviction: owners of mid-sized companies deserve the same quality of advice in the most important transaction of their lives that large corporations take for granted. The firm advises Mittelstand owners across the DACH region and beyond, including the publicly announced sale of TOP-SPORT Gruppe to VR Equitypartner, where NORDVISORY advised the selling shareholder GfEP.
Tobias holds an M.Sc. in Economics & Financial Economics from the University of Nottingham (UK). He writes the NORDVISORY Insights articles on succession, valuation and sale processes, available in German and English.
